Actually, we only wanted to report on the Najuma again when it is in the water. But secondly, things are different. The watering date is delayed again by a week. The global supply chains are still not working as they should, unfortunately. Then many companies have large orders again, which lengthens the production and delivery times considerably. A central part for controlling the electrics and electronics is the so-called DB board (distribution board). Without this, the onboard systems such as engines, pumps and navigation cannot be put into operation. The board is expected to arrive early this week and will take approximately two days to install. And of course a new countdown.
The planned departure date from the shipyard is July 4th at 5 a.m. From the industrial area, the ship drives on the trailer to the port. There the mast is first raised and in the evening at high tide the Najuma is launched.
You're probably thinking this isn't the last shift. We think positively and also see all the efforts and the status of the work on site. Ultimately, it is better to spend a week longer in the shipyard than to put up with the great effort of working in the port. The factor is then 3 times longer. In addition, we have learned since the beginning of our journey that waiting and having patience are also virtues. We are well informed and can go to the ship every Friday and if there are any questions from the shipyard, we are immediately asked and invited to extraordinary inspections. It works! The support also gives us an indication of how the handover will take place and the accompaniment afterwards. That's what we call aftersales, we're having a good feeling.
As soon as the ship is in the water, the commissioning and seatrail phase begins, we will be happy to tell you about it and describe our first impressions on the boat. Then there will certainly be a room tour to introduce you to our new home.
14. - 23 June

Hello Najuma, we're about to hit the water!
Completion is picking up speed. Many accessories, such as anchor with chain, winches, solar panels, etc. have been installed in the last two weeks.
Sometimes it's like being in a beehive on the ship, many hands assembling, painting and sanding and there's a constant coming and going.
