Merry Christmas

Dear family, friends and everyone who accompanies us on our sailing trip

This year we decided at short notice to spend the Christmas season with our family in Switzerland. On December 10th we flew from Mahé (Seychelles) to Zurich. The temperature difference of 30° Celsius was striking, but we were welcomed into our home country with so much warmth that we quickly forgot the cold. Now we will stay here until December 30th and fly back to Victoria for the New Year celebrations.

We would like to thank you all very much for thinking about us, writing so much and for becoming a loyal reader to us. Many old friendships have deepened and new ones have emerged. We miss you all sometimes, but you also inspire us to continue with our plan to sail around the world. We don't take your friendship for granted, but rather a blessing that accompanies us through the sometimes dark nights at sea and for which we are eternally grateful.

We wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. May the future bring us all much joy, peace and love.
